This page explains what personal data ChinCha Thai Food collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
Kanjana, trading as ChinCha Thai Food, Veldhoven, the Netherlands (not yet a registered company). For any question about your data or this policy, contact info@chincha.nl.
When you place an order, we collect: your name, phone number, email address (if you provide one), your delivery address (street, house number, postcode, city — only if you choose delivery), the items you order, and any note you add. We use this to prepare and fulfil your order, contact you if something's unclear, and — for delivery orders — to check your address falls within our delivery area and to calculate the delivery fee.
Checking a delivery address sends your postcode and house number to the Dutch government's free public address lookup service (PDOK Locatieserver, run by Kadaster) so we can calculate the distance to our kitchen. No other details from your order are sent to them, and this only happens when you choose delivery.
When you leave a review, we ask for your order number and the full name on that order, purely to confirm you're a real customer — this pair is checked against your order and is not stored again separately. The review itself (your chosen display name, star rating, review text, and any photos you attach) is stored and — unless blocked by our automatic language filter — published on the site. You choose whether your full name or just your first name is shown publicly. Photos are held privately until manually approved before they appear.
Cookies: this site sets one small technical cookie (a session ID) so that, for example, the admin login and basic form security work correctly, and one cookie to remember your chosen site language. Neither is used for advertising, tracking, or analytics, and no data from them is shared with anyone.
Hosting: this site is hosted by Hostinger, who may log basic technical access data (like IP addresses) for security and technical operation, independently of us.
We don't use any advertising or analytics tracking on this site, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes.
Order records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary for running the business (e.g. handling questions about a past order) and to meet any applicable tax record-keeping obligations. Reviews and review photos are kept for as long as they remain relevant to the site, or until you ask us to remove them.
Under the GDPR, you can ask us to:
